DYK: NASA inflated its official record of surface temps

Did You Know (DYK): According to Joseph Blast, in "Unstoppable Global Warming", NASA acknowledged it had accidentally inflated its official record of surface temperatures in the U.S. beginning with the year 2000. The revised data shows 1934 as the warmest year, followed by 1998, 1921, 2006, 1931, 1999, and 1953. Four of the top 10 years on record are from the 1930's, before human emissions could have been responsible, while only three of the top 10 (1998, 2006, 1999) are from the past 10 years.
